Why are Skout's prices so much lower than other office product resellers?
Skout employs a new and unique business model that is designed to avoid many of the costs associated with running a warehouse or retail outlet. By consolidating expenses such as rent, couriers and warehousing staff, we are able to get the products you need, to your door, quicker and cheaper than other suppliers can.
Which areas do Skout Office Supplies service?
We supply clients located across Australia. If your delivery address is in Brisbane, we are able to deliver your order directly using our own delivery vehicles. This means we have the flexiblity to go the extra mile if your order is urgent, or you just want to "look" at a product before ordering. It also saves time and money so we offer this service for free.
If your delivery address is outside of Brisbane, our system will calculate a freight cost during the "Order Checkout" stage. We currently offer Australia Post and Express Post services along with Fastway Couriers. Depending on the size and weight of your order and the delivery address, some of these may be unavailable. If this is the case, please contact us on 1300 720 295 and we will attempt to find an alternative.
how much is the freight charge?
If you are in South-East Queensland and elect to use the Skout Van as the delivery method for your order, then the delivery of your order will be free. During the checkout stage you may be offered a number of shipping options based on your order's delivery address. A delivery charge and an estimated delivery time is also displayed at this stage. This information is based on size and weight information that we have for the products that make up your order. Sometimes this information is incorrect and the system may suggest an excessive freight cost. If this occurs, please contact us and we will investigate and then update our system and provide you with a more accurate cost if appropriate. Please note, however, that couriers calculate the cost of delivery by weight and cubic weight, so an order that contains large light goods may still be considered quite "heavy" by the courier.
